Dress Code and Conduct Guidelines

Dress Code

To ensure an elegant and respectful atmosphere for everyone attending the Prom Rocks Homeschool Prom, we ask that all participants adhere to the following formal attire guidelines:

  1. Formal Attire:
    • Attendees are encouraged to dress in formal attire suitable for a prom.
    • Gentlemen: Suits, tuxedos, or dress shirts with slacks. Ties or bow ties are recommended.
    • Ladies: Formal dresses or gowns that maintain modesty.
  2. Modesty Guidelines:
    • Dresses should not be low cut or excessive cleavage showing.
    • Backless dresses are allowed only if it stays above the navel line.
    • Hemlines and slits should be appropriate for a formal event, no higher than mid thigh.
    • No midriffs showing.
    • Undergarments should remain fully covered at all times.
  3. Prohibited Attire:
    • Jeans, t-shirts, and sneakers are not allowed. (Stylish sneakers specific to your attire are allowed)
    • No clothing with holes.
    • No ballcaps.
    • Clothing that is excessively tight, sheer, or revealing is prohibited.

We ask that everyone dress in a way that reflects the importance and elegance of this special evening.


Conduct Guidelines

The Prom Rocks Homeschool Prom is a time for fun, friendship, and creating unforgettable memories. To ensure a positive experience for all, we ask attendees to follow these guidelines:

  1. Respect and Courtesy:
    • Treat everyone at the event—including other attendees, chaperones, and staff—with the highest level of respect.
    • Disagreements should be handled calmly and maturely.
  2. Supervision and Accountability:
    • Chaperones will be present throughout the event to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
    • If issues arise that cannot be resolved respectfully, the offending party may be asked to leave the event.
  3. Social Media and Online Conduct:
    • Extend respect to all online interactions related to the event, including social media posts, group chats, and event promotions.
    • Avoid posting or sharing content that could harm the reputation of attendees, chaperones, or the event.
  4. Behavior Standards:
    • No disruptive, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior will be tolerated.
    • Attendees are expected to follow all venue rules and instructions from chaperones.
